Hi,
I'm new to this list, but this is my thought regarding your comment.
I agree that there needs to be a driver, or driver(s) for a project.
If some folks say that's a hierarchy, then I guess it is. But
certainly someone or a group of folks has to take ownership over the
work initially, to get it to a stage where the ownership can be more
easily be transferred to others.

Step One – what is/are your specific goal(s)? Grow community, help
people earn part of their living?
How would a currency "help make the project run more effectively"?
Once you know the answers to these questions you can start to think
about currency design processes.
If you don't know your detailed goals you will never know whether you
have succeeded or not.
Thoughts from anyone here about how a currency would help? Then we'll
talk about process…

Use = ????? (by whom?)
Benefit to Users = ????
Essential to understand Benefits and Uses before starting the Project
